AUDITIONS
Sondheim Tribute Revue will be the featured senior show production this fall for Season 79.
Auditions are July 23rd and 25th. Please register for a date at the link above. Rehearsals will be Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1-3 p.m. starting August 13th, with additional rehearsals on Wednesday August 11th and 18th.
Actors are asked to prepare a solo from a song of their choice (preferably Sondheim), roughly 30-45 second in length. Accompanist is provided. All other materials will be provided by the Playhouse at the audition.
The Stephen Sondheim Society notes that Sondheim was "widely acknowledged as the most innovative, most influential and most important composer and lyricist in modern Broadway history. For more than 50 years, he has set an unsurpassed standard of brilliance and artistic integrity in musical theatre. His accolades include an Academy Award, eight Tony Awards (more than any other composer) including the Special Tony Award for Lifetime Achievement in the Theatre, multiple Grammy Awards, multiple Drama Desk awards and a Pulitzer Prize."
Gordon Cantiello directs with Kaleb Wilkening as music director. This production will perform in the Studio Theatre September 27-29. Sponsored by The Legacy and supported by a grant from the Lincoln Arts Council.
