RadioActive Players Senior Show 2026 - August 4 & 5

Lincoln Community Playhouse is proud to be one of the three pilot productions of a new Broadway Sr. show, How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying Sr.

Auditions will be held August 4 and 5 from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. with callbacks on August 6.  Actors, age 55 and older, should bring a short song (around 90 seconds) and an accompanist will be provided. There will also be readings from the script. Many roles are available.

Rehearsals will be held Tuesday through Thursday, from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Performances are September 19 and 20, both at 2:00 pm. Actors will be able to use scripts during the performance.

How to Succeed in Business Without Trying Sr. is an abridged version of the Pulitzer Prize-winning musical comedy with book by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock, and Willie Gilbert with music and lyrics by Frank Loesser. The show is about the rise of window washer, J. Pierpont Finch, to chairman of the board and is a hysterical lampoon of the business world.

Morrie Enders will direct with Shauna Shaefer as music director. Enders noted, "Lincoln Community Playhouse was instrumental in the creation of Broadway Sr. with Music Theatre International and directing this pilot production is a fitting conclusion to my tenure as Executive Director."

The Great Gatsby - Audition Scene Materials

Lincoln Community Playhouse will hold auditions for The Great Gatsby on August 18 and 19. Actors, ages 18 and older, should sign up for a date and all actors should attend beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the Studio Theatre. Roles are available for 5 men and 4-5 women.  Auditions will consist of readings from the script which can be accessed above. Scenes do not need to be memorized.  No video auditions will be accepted. There may be a short dance audition for those interested in being in the dance ensemble (6-8 people). Please note this is a play version of the show, not a musical. Performance dates are October 9-11 and 16-18.

The Great Gatsby is by F. Scott Fitzgerald, adapted for the stage by Simon Levy. Jay Gatsby, a self-made millionaire, passionately pursues the elusive Daisy Buchanan. Nick Carraway, a young newcomer to Long Island, is drawn into their world of obsession, greed and danger. The breathtaking glamour and decadent excess of the Jazz Age come to the stage in this adaptation approved by the Fitzgerald estate.

 The Great Gatsby is directed by Christine Cottam, with choreography by Kayleigh Schadwinkel, scenic design and technical direction by Jeff Maldavs, costume design by Maralee Maldavs, lighting design by Reece McAdams, sound design by Barb Armstead, props by Rhiannon Cottam, stage management by Bailey Leuty.

Audition protocols
Callbacks and Cast lists - We will post both lists to the website and on our social media (Facebook & Instagram, LNKPlayhouse). Please do not call or message to find out if the list has been posted - if it does not appear on the website or social media, then it has not been decided. Regardless of the Callbacks list, be sure to check the Cast list post for final casting decision.
Precast - we do not precast roles. On the rare occasion precasting happens, we will publicly announce it ahead of auditions.
Scheduling conflicts - we regularly work around conflicts, provided they are ALL included on the audition form. LCP reserves the right to recast if conflicts are added after casting. Potential actors should understand the commitment surrounding a production. The production process relies heavily on team-based interaction. 
Feedback - it is LCP policy not to give audition feedback to auditionees.
Free - we do not charge fees to participate in productions and provide all items necessary with the exception of personal makeup (if required), undergarments and certain types of shoes.
