Remembering Mary Goeres

Mary A. Goeres, 82, of Lincoln, died Monday (5/20/2013). Born 5/28/1930) in Grand Island, Neb., the daughter of Albert Gilmore and Maude Gordon. Longtime volunteer at Lincoln Community Playhouse, avid needle pointer, and world traveler on theatre tours, also enjoyed traveling English countryside.

Survived by husband, Vince; daughter, Julie Goeres; son, Mike Goeres; grandson, Brian Goeres; cousin, niece and nephews.

Memorial Service: 1 p.m. Friday, Roper and Sons Chapel, 4300 'O' St. Memorials to Lincoln Community Playhouse, 2500 S 56th St., Lincoln, NE 68506. No visitation/cremation. Condolences online at roperandsons.com.

We want to thank Mary Goeres for her continued support of LCP, she was our longest box office volunteer for 25 years (1981-2012). She also helped organize many LCP trips. We will miss you.
