--What is the expected rehearsal and performance schedule?
Rehearsals are typically weekdays from 6:30-9:00p starting October 10th, 2022. We do not have regular rehearsals on Saturdays or Sundays until Tech. Specific rehearsal schedules are sent each Sunday for the week, based on the show’s progress, needs and conflicts.
--What/when is Tech, Dress, Performances?
Tech is when we coordinate all technical elements with the acting. Tech will be Sunday, December 4 from 11:00-9:00p.
Dress Rehearsals are December 5-8, where preparing for performance run is the focus. Call times to arrive will be staggered somewhere between 5:30-6:30p.
Performances are December 9-11, 16-18.
--Casting Information will be posted by Friday.
We will post on our website (www.lincolnplayhouse.com) and on our Facebook page. Please do not call or message to find out if the list has been posted - if it does not appear on the website or Facebook page, then it has not been decided.
--How do the Callbacks work?
Callbacks are Wednesday, October 5. A Callbacks list is posted. At Callbacks, we provide all necessary materials with the directors guiding auditionees on what to read. An actor is called back when directors need to hear/see more from them to assist in determining the cast. Whether your name appears on the Callbacks list or not does not determine final casting.
--Are roles precast?
LCP does not typically precast roles. On the rare occasion precasting happens, we will publicly announce it ahead of auditions.
--What is the No Conflict Zone?
LCP regularly works around conflicts, provided they are included on the audition form. We reserve the right to recast if conflicts are added after casting. The production process relies heavily on team-based interaction. The No Conflict Zone is the time when the play is being put together as a whole, so actors must be able to commit to rehearsals and performances with no conflicts after November 21.
--Are there fees involved?
LCP does not charge fees to participate in productions, and provides all items necessary for a production. The only costume items we do not provide are personal makeup (if necessary), undergarments and shoes.
Covid vaccinations are no longer required. Masks are optional, but you are welcome to wear them. Actors will not perform with masks.
