Playhouse & Children's Zoo Partner for Charlotte's Web

PLAYHOUSE AND ZOO PARTNER WEB EVENTS

The Lincoln Children’s Zoo will have select animals at the Playhouse preceding CHARLOTTE’S WEB performances on April 13 and 20. Scheduled to appear are a spider, rat and rabbit!

CHARLOTTE’S WEB cast members will appear in costume at the Zoo on April 14 and 15 from 10:00 a.m. to Noon. Bring your cameras!

These tandem events highlight not only CHARLOTTE’S WEB, but also the season opening of the Zoo.

The Lincoln Children’s Zoo will open Saturday, April 14. Visitors to the Zoo will find a variety of new additions for 2012. A new horse riding area called Wranglers Round Up will allow riders to experience the old west. Next to Wranglers Round Up is the all new Ranch where little ones will be able to get up close to goats and llamas for a feeding. In May the Zoo will welcome peccaries which are a type of wild pig. Also starting on Memorial Day visitors to the Zoo will be able to ride camels. Camel rides will take place from Memorial Day through Labor Day and will cost $5. Visitors will also notice a new iconic sign in town. Twelve foot letters spelling ZOO have been constructed and are located on the camel boardwalk.
