Lincoln Community Playhouse recently received the Twink Lynch Organizational Achievement Award from the American Association of Community Theatre (AACT). This award “recognizes AACT member theaters for successfully completing major steps in new directions, expanding services to their community, or moving to the next level of organizational development.”
The nomination by Theatre Tulsa Executive Director Sarah Phoenix cited the Playhouse’s improved financial health and the emphasis on community outreach programs such as Title I School performances and book program, OLLI/Playhouse Radioactive Players and The Penguin Project.
Playhouse Executive Director Morrie Enders noted, “A strong community theatre can have a major positive impact in the community. This award reflects this and is an honor to the commitment made by volunteers, community leaders and staff to create a vibrant Playhouse.”
Enders will accept the award at the AACT conference in New York City in July.
