ANYTHING GOES AUDITIONS

Monday, March 12th AND Tuesday, March 13th

Location: Lincoln Community Playhouse
Description: ANYTHING GOES auditions will be held on March 12 and 13 beginning at 7:00 pm in the Studio Theatre. Actors should bring sheet music with 16 measures of a prepared Broadway song (not from ANYTHING GOES), a non-returnable photo, and be prepared to fill out the conflict calendar. An accompanist will be provided. Actors will also be asked to read from the script and learn a short dance routine. A tap routine will be taught at callbacks on March 14. Actors should signup for a one-hour time slot at www.lincolnplayhouse.com.

Roles are available for 8 women, 12 men and a chorus.

Madcap antics abound in ANYTHING GOES when ocean liner passengers Reno Sweeny, a nightclub singer turned evangelist, and Moonface Martin, Public Enemy #13, team up to help Billy, a love-stricken stowaway, woo the heiress Hope Harcourt away from her snooty fiancé, Lord Evelyn Oakleigh.

The effervescent Cole Porter score includes “You’re the Top,” “I Get a Kick Out of You,” and “Blow, Gabriel, Blow.”

Morrie Enders will direct, with Gretchen Foley as music director and Rachel Danay as choreographer.

Performance dates are May 11-13 and 17-20. ANYTHING GOES is sponsored by Lincoln Benefit Life.
