THE WILL ROGERS FOLLIES stands out among musicals because of the magic of its protagonist. Will Rogers transcends decades and has risen to the level of legend, not only because of his accomplishments, but because of his confidence in the goodness of his fellow human beings.
LCP’s curtain rises November 2, 2001, on a Follies-style tribute to the man whose daily newspaper column sent America on its way each morning with a smile on its face. Will Rogers was an early 20th-century multimedia sensation, performing a weekly radio talk show as well as starring in motion pictures. Directed by Robin McKercher, with music direction by Solveig Nyberg-Akert and choreography by Karen F. Wills, THE WILL ROGERS FOLLIES features outstanding singing and dancing and everything else you'd expect in a Ziegfeld's Follies extravaganza!
